Roane County United Way

As the nation’s leading community solutions provider, United Way invests in and activates the resources to make the greatest possible impact in communities across America. The United Way movement includes approximately 1,400 community-based United Way organizations. Each is independent, separately incorporated, and governed by local volunteers.
United Way brings volunteers and companies throughout our community together to improve people’s lives.
Businesses and individuals respond to multiple charitable requests through one effort and agencies raise more
money more efficiently than they would if they conducted separate campaigns.

Service Model

We will encourage and assist partner service providers, as well as other community service providers, in employing a
Linking Relief, Rehabilitation, and Development (LRRD) service model in providing services to Roane County residents.
The LRRD service model seeks to provide emergency relief while focusing on offering service recipients a pathway to self-sustainability.

Roane County United Way Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement

The Roane County United Way works expressly to include diversity and inclusion while opposing racial and ethnic discrimination in every decision and policy. These are the principles guiding the board, volunteers and partners. The rights and outcomes for all that we serve are the reasons we have built a culture that supports, encourages and celebrates the diverse voices of our community.
