Who We Are

As the nation’s leading community solutions provider, United Way invests in and activates the resources to make the greatest possible impact in communities  across America. The United Way movement includes approximately 1,400 community-based United Way organizations. Each is independent, separately incorporated, and governed by local volunteers.

United Way brings volunteers and companies throughout our community together to improve people’s lives.
Businesses and individuals respond to multiple charitable requests through one effort and agencies raise more
money more efficiently than they would if they conducted separate campaigns.

Our Mission

The mission of Roane County United Way is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities.
Community Impact is defined as improving lives by mobilizing communities to create lasting changes in community conditions and opportunities.

Roane County United Way works to bring the community together to focus on the most important needs in the community — building partnerships, forging consensus and leveraging resources to make a measurable difference.

Every day, United Way supported programs help provide a nurturing environment for children, health care for seniors who might otherwise go without, food and shelter  safe havens from physical and psychological abuse, therapy for those coping with special challenges such as drug abuse, disabilities and so much more. We focus on the quality of life building blocks: Education, Financial Stability and Health/well being. Every day Roane County United Way programs are doing what matters!
